down the river, not across.

These thoughts. They haunt me. In my sleep. In my dreams. In my memories.

Death, Taxes and Lawyers

The madam opened the brothel door to see a rather dignified, well-dressed good looking man in his late 40s or early 50s.

"May I help you?" she asked.

"I want to see Valerie," the man replied.

"Sir, Valerie is one of our most expensive ladies. Perhaps you would prefer someone else," said the madam.

"No. I must see Valerie," was the man's reply.

Just then, Valerie appeared and announced to the man that she charged $1,000 a visit. Without hesitation, the man pulled out ten one-hundred dollar bills, gave them to Valerie, and they went upstairs.

After an hour, the man calmly left.

The next night, the same man appeared again, demanding to see Valerie.

Valerie explained that none had ever come back two nights in a row--too expensive--and there were no discounts. The price was still $1,000.

Again the man pulled out the money, gave it to Valerie and they went upstairs.

After an hour, he left.

The following night the man was there again. Everyone was astounded that he had come for the third consecutive night, but he paid Valerie and they went upstairs.

After their session, Valerie questioned the man. "No one has ever been with me three nights in a row. Where are you from?" she asked.

The man replied, "South Carolina."

"Really" she said. "I have family in South Carolina."

"I know," the man said. "Your father died, and I am your sister's attorney. She asked me to give you your $3,000 inheritance."

The moral of the story is that three things in life are certain:

1. Death
2. Taxes
3. Being screwed by a lawyer

The Heart of the Matter

Yet another quote from the great Meredith Grey...

"Forgive and forget. That's what they say. It's good advice, but it's not very practical. When someone hurts us, we want to hurt them back. When someone wrongs us, we want to be right. Without forgiveness old scores never settle. Old wounds never heal, and the most we can hope for is that someday we'll be lucky enough to forget."

What I think is this. Old wounds do heal. They do. Cos after a while, they just don't hurt
anymore. But it requires closure. Moving on. Whatever. With forgiveness comes closure. But sometimes, one forgives but doesn't forget. Can it still be called closure and moving on? The memories, they haunt us. Maybe, just maybe, one day we will all be lucky enough to forget. Maybe. Until then, there is tequila. Good ol' tequila.

nuts

Today, a little blue bird told me that he regarded me as a close friend. This came as a real shock to me as even though I thought of him as a close friend, I never thought that he would think of me as one too. This revelation had really caught me off guard and I just didnt know what to say. But now that I have come to terms with this, I just have one thing to say.. "woot!!! I'm as much of a nut as you are and now you are stuck with me! wahahahahaha"

IDOT 101

There are many a lovely person out there in this world.

Really, they are the ones who makes the world go round, the sun shine, the flowers bloom etc etc you get the idea.

Then, you get the idiotic ones. The ones whom you would swear on your ancestor's graves that God put them into this world just to make life a little more hell-ish then it already is.

And so - just for these idiots out there, there should be a uni subject called

IDOT 101- WHAT TO DO WHEN YOU ENCOUNTER AN IDIOT.

My suggestion would be? Punch them in the face. Make sure you knock their two front teeth out.

Greys Anatomy - Love/Addiction

As the great Meredith Grey once said,

"In the hospital, we see addiction every day. It's shocking how many kinds of addiction exist. It would be too easy if it were just drugs and booze and cigarettes. I think the hardest part of kicking a habit is wanting to kick it. I mean, we get addicted for a reason, right? Often, too often, things that start out as just a normal part of your life at some point cross the line to obsessive, compulsive, out of control. It's the high we're chasing, the high that makes everything else fade away.

The thing about addiction is it never ends well, because eventually, whatever it is that was getting us high stops feeling good and starts to hurt. Still, they say you don’t kick the habit until you hit rock bottom, but how do you know when you’re there? Because no matter how badly a thing is hurting us, sometimes letting it go hurts even worse."
